A New Chapter: Moder Has an Office!

Milestone unlocked: Moder now has a home base.

We’ve officially opened our first office, and it’s a special one—located in the historic Veturitallit area of Pasila, Helsinki, in a red-brick beauty dating back to 1897. Our new space sits in the old konttoriyksikkö between the engine sheds, and yes, it has just the right amount of vintage-industrial soul.

Moder was born during the pandemic, when offices were out and remote-first was the only option that made sense. We embraced that, built a distributed culture, and learned to collaborate across cities and time zones. It wasn’t always easy—but it worked, and it shaped who we are today.

But now, we’re writing the next chapter.

It took over a year to find the right space, and when we stepped into this one, we knew. It felt like home from day one. A place for our team to meet, build, plan—and occasionally argue over the coffee machine.

So while we’ll stay proudly remote-first, we now have a physical space to anchor us. A spot to gather, brainstorm, welcome partners, and just hang out as humans—not just Zoom tiles.
